COP29 Azerbaidjan Baku

The Association “ACRENAP”, a member of the United Nations, designated as an Observer of the UNFCC, has been participating for the second consecutive year in the world meetings on climate change (COP and SB) and this year in the city of Baku in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Our delegation headed by the Chairman, Dr. Volodymyr Iserskyy, and the executive director Ing. Efrain Edgar Bonzano, also the members of the Association – Biologist Yesenia Gallardo Veliz, Mr. Álvaro Javier Benavente Villar and Ing. Wilfredo Sosa Venezuela, together with our ACRENAP representatives to the European Community, Asia and Oceania – Sra, Norma Arones Chávez and the MBA. Uwe W. Alfred Lehnfeld of the German Organization “Planetlungs org”.  we are participating in this COP 29 where leaders and representatives from more than 196 countries are meeting to discuss the urgency of climate policy to undertake ambitious efforts to combat and adapt to Global Climate Change.

During this event that has been taking place from November 11 to 22, the fundamental positions of the countries of the world and high-level partner organizations, strategies are being developed to achieve maximum intensity and mechanisms of joint action to reduce the negative effects of Global climate change and specific mechanisms and levels of financing are approved on the basis of transparency and control of the effectiveness of the allocations. At the same time, an inventory of the total levels and quantities of greenhouse gases is carried out on the basis of verified and updated reporting data submitted by UNFCCC Member countries to determine the actual amount of financing needed. At this global meeting, the necessary activities for the conservation of the planet’s biodiversity are also discussed and developed”
